and i'm tagging her back. ohohooho

You have to post ALL the Rules.
2. Each person has to share 13 things about themselves.
3. Answer 13 questions asked to you & invent 13 questions the people you tag will have to answer.
4. Tag 13 people.
5. Tag-backs are ALLOWED.
6. YOU MUST MAKE A JOURNAL ENTRY!

13 things about me:
1. I like to wear lots of rings!
2. I graduated from high school yesterday.
3. I ~love~ writing letters, and I'm slowly turning into one of those people who collects stationery.
4. I started FMA recently!! And I'm obsessed. Hopefully, it and FMAB will be the only animes I ever watch ... x'D
5. I love Bucky Barnes. I do.
6. I currently have an art block.
7. I plan to become a missionary!
8. I want a pet duck.
9. I'd like to learn calligraphy.
10. I'd like to earn a degree in either Mathematics or Religion.
11. I prefer nonfiction over fiction books.
12. I don't shave my legs.
13. I use FireAlpaca most often for digital art, even though I own Photoshop Elements.

Kyle's Questions for me to answer:

Do you cosplay, if so as which characters? If not, given the chance who would you cosplay?
I don't cosplay, but I wish I could!!! If given the choice, I'd probably try to cosplay, like, everyone. Loki and Rei and Peggy Carter. And I'd probably be a TNG-era Bajoran too.

What is the oldest piece of art you have made, in your possession and from when?
Oh dude I have no idea?? I have a lot of old stuff in the garage, no idea how old or of what though. Think early elementary school.

If you could be any of the species that one of your characters are, what would you be?
HECK i would be KLA'AR
u can't stop me. i love them so much

What is one thing you pride yourself on? Whether be the improvement on said thing or overall?
I don't lose faith. Even when things get hard.

Favourite musical/play/one act?
Tbh I'm not a musical/play person at all. So I have no idea!! I really love Les Mis if that counts.

What is your favourite art medium? Whether you work in it or not.
Ackk that's SO hard! A lot of liquid media I guess. I really admire watercolor and ink artists. ALSO digital painters!! Digital painting is so freaking hard but it's also so amazing I can't even

How many sketchbooks have you owned over the years?
I started keeping one consistently halfway through 8th grade. 4.5 years later, I'm currently on my 15th I think?

How do you like your tea or coffee?
Don't drink coffee, but I like my tea totally black! It actually tastes terrible 90% of the time but I do it anyway bc i hate myself

What music type reflects yourself the most?
?????????????
I listen to a lot of Christian stuff. But idek what genre my specific favorites are??? but those reflect me the most. current favorites are How He Loves, Lighthouse, and Oceans?? maybe I just like ocean metaphors, don't judge me

What movie/show creeped you out as a kid? [There had to be one]
There's this movie called "The Birds" that psychologically scarred me for so many years because there's this one scene of a guy whose eyes got pecked out and it's horrible

Who out of your characters do you feel has changed the most since their first design?
definitely Hunter lol. Physically he's still recognizable, but personality-wise, the 2011 Hunter would probably start a fight with the 2016 one

Have you ever dyed or drastically changed the appearance of your hair?
As a kid I temporarily colored my hair red/blue for 4th of July every summer! And last year I demi colored my hair chocolate brown (i'm normally a dark blonde) and that stayed in for about 6 months. (my mom is a retired cosmetologist)

What quote sticks out to you, can be inspirational or not.
There are SO many!!! Here are two.
First, by Brennan Manning:
"The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle."

second, by Augustine (whose works I really need to get a copy of). it addresses nature:
"I said to all these things, 'Tell me of my God who you are not, tell me something about him.' And with a great voice they cried out: 'He made us.' My question was the attention I gave them, and their response was their beauty."

Actually, three. Here's one more by CS Lewis. I absolutely adore CS Lewis. If I could only quote CS Lewis for the rest of my life instead of communicating freely, I would die happy:
"If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world."

MY questions (for those of you whom I've tagged)
1. Do you ever paint your toenails?
2. What's something you wish people would know about you before they meet you?
3. What was your favorite thing to draw as a kid?
4. If you could have the powers of any existing supervillain, who would it be?
5. What do you take pictures of most?
6. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? (don't worry about your health. let's just assume you're guaranteed to stay healthy)
7. Do you work out?
8. Do you have any close friends you've never met in person?
9. Who are you voting for president?
10. What's a day/moment that has changed your life?
11. What makes you angrier than anything?
12. Now, what makes you happier than anything?
13. What is something you are learning right now?

I tagged Steve-C2 when I did this for Snap, and then he tagged me back suggesting Shatter B)
so here ya go! 8 facts about Shatter. I admit this was tough too -- y'all keep choosing the hard characters haha.

I'm still inactive and I admit I'll continue being inactive, but I'll hopefully find time to get back to you guys after I graduate in a couple weeks!
(I especially owe you, Steve. All those pieces I wanna read!! Sorry this is taking so long hhh you deserve better)

This was put together starting when I was tagged (20 years ago? who even knows anymore) and I think I finished it a few weeks ago. Idek. xD
enjoy! see y'all later!

(also no one's tagged this time!)

1. Shatter is nosy. Like, REALLY nosy. She has to know everything about everyone -- not in a gossipy way (she literally tells no one), but it's more of a control thing. She's an incredibly powerful telepath and is accustomed to experiencing the minds of those around her, and enjoys learning about them and how they tick.

2. Speaking of being a telepath, communication is a whole other can of worms haha. She reads minds instantly and non-invasively, simply being simultaneously aware of the internal goings-on of everyone within a certain physical distance of her -- but her mind is built differently from a mortal's and is far more vast in some ways, so it's completely overwhelming for anyone she tries to communicate with. (Not that human minds are limited -- just the opposite, it seems! -- but that we only know our own thoughts, which is all fine and dandy. If we observed Shatter's mind, she does have her own, but it would seem that she simultaneously has the minds of everyone within a certain range of her, as many as hundreds at once. She isn't limited to verbal thoughts or images, but can read everything within a person's present consciousness, albeit from a third-person view, so she can more objectively observe and understand them, often better than they understand themselves.)

3. Back to the communication thing! Mortal minds are mostly incompatible with the minds of the Infinite, and trying to communicate between the two would scar the human psychologically or kill them or something. Communication -- thoughts being transported from Shatter, that is -- takes years to develop, as it's taken slowly so that the mortal can gradually become accustomed to the mind of the Infinite. Communication is then achieved as the Infinite transports their thoughts, emotions, or other feelings, and they read the response of the mortal in return.

4. The Infinite, by the way, are what Shatter is a member of. They're sort of a collective of beings like her -- physical, but not biologically alive or anything. Physically, Shatter is made up of a very condensed, smoke-like material -- no organs or anything, not even a definite shape. Normally you can't tell, but if something crazy happens and she gets stabbed through or something, her body simply breaks into smoke in that area and rematerializes once she has moved away from the violating object. The Infinite exist purely to collect knowledge, and Shatter can join their elite collective consciousness once she has learned a certain amount (something that usually takes millennia to achieve).

5. Understandably, she's intrigued by individuals that are completely foreign to her, particularly psychologically. Or if she meets another person who is immortal, especially if they're something more supernatural than just flesh and blood, she refocuses her attention on them, but also becomes extremely wary of their abilities. She is used to having the advantage over the mortals around her.

6. Speaking of supernatural, she distrusts other telepaths. This includes people who won't let her read their mind, people who read the minds of others, or at worst attempt to read her. She is extremely secretive and values her privacy (almost ironically, considering how invasively she reads others), but assumes that other telepaths are just as disrespectful of that as she is.

7. Shatter is actually supernaturally strong. She almost never has to demonstrate it, since she is usually very reserved and polite, and in stressful situations can usually manipulate her way out of a tight spot instead of having to do it physically. Since she willingly does not interfere with the lives of others (preferring to leave the world untouched, just as she entered it), she typically only has to break stuff/people (preferably not the latter) in self defense or something, and even then only in very rare situations.

8. The Infinite are generally immortal, but it is possible to kill them! The smoke-like stuff they're made of is a bit of an anti-life thing, as in it cannot cooexist with a living organism. Shatter is able to store an unlimited number of inanimate objects within herself, though it is painful at first, since any living microorganisms conflict with her substance and injure her, though they also die. If an Infinite is forced to absorb or take in a certain amount of living material, it kills them both; for example, absorbing a human would kill both the human and the Infinite, albeit creating a sort of explosion that destroys any living thing nearby.

8 OC Facts

DeathByInk tagged me to get this done with Snap!!
Who is gonna be real tough. I feel like I spew out so much info about him and his species that I don't know what to say anymore ahhaaha! so sry if any of these are repetitive pfft.

and stay tuned, bc i've tagged a couple of you nerds at the end of this B)

1. If he were human, Snap would probably be about 27 years old?? Still young and strong, but old enough to have seen a little bit of life and settled comfortably into life as an adult. (though Kla'ar culture is different from ours, and adulthood is less of a major transition for them.)
2. Speaking of being an adult! The Kla'ar breeding age is approximately 19 or 20 for both sexes, and they meet up once a year on breeding ships to procreate with an established mate -- who was assigned soon after they hatch, once their genetic strengths and flaws have been recorded. Females lay eggs a couple weeks after conception, and those eventually hatch into baby Kla'ar! So long story short, Snap is the father of about a dozen. Kinda cute, but also not cute. idk.
3. it's hard to keep these focused on Snap, since I have a lot more to say about his species and culture than about him ahaha. He needs more personal development!!
4. As an adult in the military, Snap is an assassin under the Arklar (supreme monarch / deity over all Kla'ar). Assassins are the only Kla'ar trained specifically how to kill other members of their species, and the job is selected for them based on their genetic predisposition.
5. As a person, Snap is extremely closed off to others. Instead he's very serious, and generally apathetic to the needs and wants of others. He's apathetic to others in general, really; unless you can give him power or money, he neither likes you nor cares about you.
6. Good traits? He's extremely observant and thinks before he speaks. He understands the current emotional states of those around him, and why people may act a certain way. He's also independent and confident, as well as outgoing and willing to take risks, under certain circumstances. He's also very clever and knows exactly what words to use, though he isn't manipulative or charismatic in the slightest.
7. Bad traits? He's very bitter and always holds grudges. He's extremely proud, partially of himself as an individual and partially for what he is -- the Kla'ar are a very proud race, as well as extremely nationalistic. He likes to see others suffer and will often go out of his way to hurt them, especially emotionally. He enjoys being feared and/or respected, so it frustrates him beyond reason when someone ignores him or thinks he isn't worth their time. He's also somewhat sadistic and a masochist
8. At some point, Snap is banished for attempting to kill the Arklar (pretty dumb idea to begin with, since the Arklar is practically a god). I'm still pretty sketchy with this part of his timeline, so I'm not sure of his motives for attempting it. But banishment, while obviously better than death, forces him out of the tightly-knit Kla'ar culture and makes him an outcast. Unlike humans, who are usually depicted in science fiction as being very spread-out across the galaxy, the Kla'ar are very concentrated in either military operations or colonies. A single banished Kla'ar is out of place in the universe, especially since they are usually so feared as a people but are fairly helpless on their own. He's disowned as one of the Kla'ar people, and it's a massive blow to his pride and dignity.

Steve-C2 -- how about this! make up a character on the spot, see what happens!
Jestloo -- jestloo ahhaaha i love him
