Here's a Stuttgart Loki.
It's actually really fun to draw him in a suit, but it almost never works out OTL

///def favorite scene in the Avengers mkay

I was originally going to submit the black-and-white one (though it's not actually black and white, because ballpoint ink has a slight reddish-purple hue), but I colored parts of it just to see how it would look. It was actually quite nice, so here's the colored version.
The scarf's pattern is drawn 100% from memory, so while I doubt it's perfect I think it's pretty darn close to the actual thing. I'm gonna open a new tab right now and see if I'm right . . .
Whoa, it actually is quite accurate. Good job brain, you know your stuff. |D

Last Saturday (I think) I rewatched Thor by myself. I always do so via the Netflix channel on our Wii, since that movie has been on Instant for months. (Thank you Netflix, you are amazing)
My sister was in her room playing Minecraft, and my parents were out at a friend's house, and my dog has no appreciation for superhero movies, so I figured heck, why not rewatch just the scenes I like?
And so I switched on the subtitles and watched only the scenes featuring Asgard or Loki.
I also wrote down all his lines (out of boredom) and it took up four pages in my sketchbook, lol. I think he actually had more in that movie than in The Avengers, which I didn't expect since the things he says are more memorable in the latter. Anyway, we'll find out next time I watch it. I'll be sure to copy down his lines in that one too. xD

Drawn in ballpoint pen.

First of all, this is a very accurate image of Loki from the Stuttgart scene in Marvel's The Avengers. And yet, it's a very original work. Most artitsts focus on the face to convey characterization, but the focus here is on style and attitude. And it succeeds amazingly well in revealing the character.

In this film, Loki is anything but static, and he's all about stabbing and jabbing. This image conveys a lot of movement, provided by the scarf, the posture, and the hair. There are also a lot of points (the hair, the collar, the tie, the scarf, and the coat) that suggest that the character's jauntiness and style might be accompanied by a scathing wit and acerbic personality. The viewer understands that this character is mischeivous at best, and challenging at worst. The litle touches of color act as reminders that this character's personality is not black-and-white.

This is a very detailed and well thought-out work.
