Description

Another plush-thing in the same series as the Loki one.
This one is of the Doctor, if it isn't obvious enough!
I started him exactly a week ago, last Saturday, after my mom and I watched "The Waters of Mars" and "The End of Time: Part 1". [Yes, just part one. Season four got way too intense for us so we couldn't go any farther than that in one sitting haha] I finished him on Thursday afternoon. Five days feels pretty fast. o: Loki took a couple weeks, at least, I'm sure. o_o

random notes/thoughts on this sucker
- His hair was REALLY hard! It's a huge jump going from Loki's simple hairstyle to the Doctor's, which honestly makes no sense to me and literally sticks out in all sorts of directions omg
  I didn't use felt for it because I don't have brown felt. :c Also, someone add hot glue strings to my list of art side effects that I HATE. I blame the glue for the awful mess on the back of his head oTL
  but overall i'm very happy with how his hair came out yep
- he has hearts!! Just like Loki and Snap, I put a couple heart-shaped buttons in his chest. The idea isn't mine but I think it's the absolute cutest thinggg
- I've definitely improved since making Loki. The torso, for example, isn't all weird-looking anatomically. |D Like, I messed up in other places, but at least I got that right!
- One of the most difficult parts was the collar area T-T I had to attach his head to a near-completed body, and sew in two collars that would not only look somewhat-realistic but cover up the stuffing-hole as well!!
- I didn't actually have any dark blue fabric. What I used was more of a turquoise color, and I soaked it in some dark blue ink to change it.
- The main fabric that I used was from an old bedsheet, so it's like 0% stretchy haha
   I've decided that slightly-stretchy fabric -- like the kind in t-shirts -- is my favorite to work with, since I've officially worked with incredibly-stretchy (sock), somewhat-stretchy (shirt) and not-at-all-stretchy (bedsheet) materials.
   And he's stuffed a lot more than Loki, so he isn't as fun to smoosh or fling around oTL

also i should try to figure out how to give these guys butts because they don't really have butts and it looks awkward from side view haha

I'm going to have lots of free time this summer (besides learning to drive, learning to play bass, practicing cello, going to church, and watching more Doctor Who oTL) so I hope to get more of these guys churned out. ;u;
If I do make more, I'd like to try my hand at Data. He's actually the first one I wanted to make but I never got around to it. Also Sherlock would be really fun to make (though I'd have to make two, since a friend of mine wants one) ... and I'd love to take a swing at an OC or two. I'm thinking Shatter. She'd be an easy start haha.
