Description
There is no throne. There is no version of this where you come out on top.
I actually started this a long time ago, shortly after seeing Thor 2, I think. Well, okay, never mind. That wasn't too long ago -- almost two months? Or maybe it was. Either way, it felt like an awfully long time to work on a single drawing.
After I figured out the pose and most of everything else at school, I left this on my desk with the laptop so that I could find a reference to get the details of his costume more accurate. I eventually did, but because I hate drawing with references so much (so tedious! A laptop and a drawing at the same time? Nope) it still took forever. I eventually got everything drawn in and redrew other parts (including Gungnir), and then went over it all with some finetip Sharpies and a colored pencil.
What was even the point of telling you all that ... ? I think I'm just trying to avoid saying how much I love this picture. I probably sound really self-centered whenever I say why I like a piece. Oh gosh. But I do like this. I like it a lot. And I hope you all like it too. u///u
