As I mentioned in my journal, I drew this at the beach when it was too cold to really do anything. I just sat in my beach chair with a towel wrapped around me, and my feet buried in the sand to keep them from freezing.
Some of this is made up; for example, there wasn't really a couple hanging out by the water, nor were there kids messing with the wet sand. Some of it, like the two girls in the foreground, were actually there.
Those spiky things on the horizon are oil rigs; we could see eight of them from where we were. I drew them too big proportionately OTL They weren't nearly that close.
